Spicy is always a good thing. This Briggs True Spicy Bean Dip will have your friends wanting more. You could toss in shredded cheese or Mexican creama.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white or yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp Briggs True Texas Chili Mix
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, minced
  • 16 oz Pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/3 cup Briggs True Texas Rio Grande Salsa

Instructions

  • 1. Coat a medium skillet or saucepan with nonstick spray
  • 2. Add onion and garlic and cook over medium heat 2 to 3 minutes or until onion is soft BUT not brown and garlic is golden
  • 3. Add Briggs True Texas Chili Mix and jalapeños and stir 30 seconds then add beans and Briggs True Rio Granda Salsa
  • 4. Mash well and continue cooking until hot and slightly thick
