Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs

You can get the same great Texas taste with this easy and “inside” recipe. Sometimes you just don’t want to fight the heat outside (or the cold for you Yankees), so this gives you the great BBQ experience without having to light the fire. Some may call this “cheating” . . . BRIGGS says “it’s SMART!” In addition to being virtually idiot proof your slow cooker is probably the most underutilized tool in your kitchen arsenal.

  • Cook: 8 hrs 40 mins
  • Yields: 4 half racks

Ingredients

2 Racks of pork baby back ribs

1 Briggs True Texas Seasoning & Rub

2 cups ketchup

1/2 cup BT Texas Mustard Sauce

1/2 cup BT Texas Jalapeño Sauce

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Directions

1Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Generously season ribs with BT Texas Seasoning & Rub. Place ribs on a rimmed baking pan and bake 15 minutes to brown. Turn over, and brown another 15 minutes; drain fat.

2In a medium bowl, mix together the ketchup, BT Texas Mustard Sauce, BT Texas Jalapeno Sauce brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce. Place ribs in slow cooker. Pour sauce over ribs, and turn to coat.

3Cover, and cook on Low 6 to 8 hours, or until ribs are tender.

4Plate up with a salad or your favorite sides and ENJOY! This makes life worth living !!
