Ingredients

  • 5 cups tightly packed torn Romaine Lettuce
  • 2 small plum tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 yellow pepper, halved, grilled and cut into strips
  • 1 tablespoon Briggs TRUE Texas Seasoning & Rub
  • 1 beef flank steak, flat iron or strip steak (1 lb.), grilled, sliced
  • ½ cup Colby & Monterey Jack Cheese Crumbles
  • ½ cup Zesty Italian Dressing

Instructions

  • 1. Grill to medium-high heat.
  • 2. Season both sides of the steak with Briggs TRUE Texas Seasoning and Rub
  • 3. GRILL steak 6 min. on each side or until medium doneness (160°F). Cut steak into thin slices; arrange over salad. Drizzle with warm dressing mixture.
  • 4. COVER 4 salad plates with lettuce.
  • 5. TOP with vegetables, meat and cheese.
  • 6. DRIZZLE with dressing and cheese crumbles just before serving.
  • 7. TIPS:
  • 8. HOW TO GRILL THE YELLOW PEPPER Cut pepper lengthwise in half. Brush lightly with small amount of the Italian dressing. Add to grill along with the steak. Grill 6 to 8 min. or until crisp-tender, turning occasionally. Cut into strips, then use as directed.
  • 9. HOW TO SLICE STEAK FOR TENDERNESS The key to tender delicious flank steak is in the slicing! Using a sharp knife, cut the cooked steak across the grain into thin strips.
  • 10. SERVING SUGGESTION
  • 11. Serve with 2 toasted 1/2-inch-thick slices multi-grain baguette.
