Jalapeño Margarita de Houston

With Cinco De Mayo…or as we like to call it Cinco De Mayhem, we thought it would be a good idea to share a secret that we discovered when we Presented and Sponsored the Houston Chili Cook-Off. Being the creative group of characters that we are we got to play with the hot sauce sitting in a bar one day and the next thing you know a new ICONIC Margarita was born. Briggs is confident you’ll enjoy it as much as his posse does.

4-6 ounces GOOD to GREAT tequila

juice of 2 oranges

juice of 1 lime

1-2 healthy dashes of Briggs True Texas Jalapeño Sauce, to taste

1-2 tablespoons organic agave, to taste

1/4 cup club soda

1 jalapeno, thinly sliced for garnish

1 lime wedge for garnish

1 tablespoon of Briggs True Cowboy Cajun Seasoning, to salt the rim

Crushed ice cubes


1Juice oranges and lime.

2Combine juice with Briggs True Jalapeño Sauce, agave, club soda and tequila, pour over ice and garnish with sliced Jalapeño.

3Mix the first 6 ingredients together in a martini shaker. Add ice and mix well.

4Salt the rim of your margarita glass with Briggs TRUE Cowboy Cajun Seasoning.

5Pour in your spicy margarita and garnish with lime and a jalapeño slice!
