Homemade Mac and Cheese

8 oz. uncooked organic elbow macaroni

2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (organic if possible)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

3 cups Organic whole milk

1/4 cup unsalted butter

2 1/2 tbsp all-purpose flour

2 tbsp tablespoons butter

1 tsp Briggs True Texas Seasoning & Rub

1 tsp Briggs True Texas Mustard


1/2 cup bread crumbs


1Cook macaroni according to the package directions, drain and set aside.

2In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in enough flour to make a roux. Add milk and Briggs True Texas Mustard to roux slowly, stirring constantly. Now for the cheese, stir in cheddar cheeses, and cook over low heat until cheese is melted and the sauce is a little thick.

3Add Briggs True Texas Seasoning to mixture and stir.

4Put macaroni in a large casserole dish, and pour the sauce over macaroni. Stir well so all the mixture is all over the macaroni.

5Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Enjoy!!!


1optional - Melt butter or margarine in a skillet over medium heat. Add breadcrumbs and brown. Spread over the macaroni and cheese to cover.

2optional - Sprinkle Briggs True Texas Seasoning on top then bake it per instructions above.
